Carson Ferguson ends Lucas Oil season with eighth-place outing in DTWC at Eldora
The Paylor Motorsports team made the trip to Eldora Speedway (Rossburg, Ohio) for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series finale as Carson Ferguson joined a field of 59 Super Late Models for the 45th-annual Dirt Track World Championship.
Ferguson kicked off preliminary night with a bang as he set quicktime among the 59 entries and sat on the pole of heat race one. Carson fell back one spot and ran second to his cousin Chris Ferguson. Carson started seventh in the 100-lap, $100,000-to-win finale on Saturday and brought home an eighth-place finish.
Ferguson finished ninth in the series point standings.
