Carson Ferguson bounces back for fourth-place finish in Jackson 100 at Brownstown Speedway

Checking in for both the C.J. Rayburn Memorial on Friday night and the Jackson 100 on Saturday evening, Carson Ferguson joined a field of 48 Super Late Models at Brownstown (Ind.) Speedway with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series.

Falling to a 21st-place finish in the $10,000-to-win opener, Ferguson brought out a much better piece for Saturday's finale as he qualified sixth-quickest in his stacked group and ran runner-up to Nick Hoffman in his heat. Carson started eighth in the 100-lap, $50,000-to-win main event and raced his way into the Top-5 to record a fourth-place finish. He trailed Ricky Thornton Jr., Devin Moran, and Bobby Pierce while Tyler Erb completed the Top-5.
