Ferguson grabs pair of Top-10's during prelims; 11th-place showing in North/South finale
Returning to the Paylor Motorsports ride after a few weeks off, Carson Ferguson was one of 51 Super Late Models checked in with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series at Florence Speedway (Walton, Ky.) for the 43rd-annual Sunoco North/South 100.
Ferguson fell back in his heat race on Thursday but charged forward from 17th in the first $6,000-to-win preliminary feature to land a Top-10 finish in ninth. Carson found even better speed on Friday as he started fourth in his prelim and rounded out the Top-5 in fifth.
Finishing runner-up in his stacked heat race on Saturday, Ferguson started from the sixth-row in the 100-lap, $75,000-to-win feature and finished 11th.
