Carson Ferguson rallies to eighth-place finish with Spring Nationals at Lake Cumberland
Losing Friday's event at Ponderosa Speedway (Junction City, Ky.) due to rough track conditions, Carson Ferguson followed the Schaeffer's Oil Spring Nationals to Lake Cumberland Speedway (Somerset, Ky.) on Saturday afternoon for the Johnny Wheeler Memorial.
Clicking off the second-fastest lap out of 27 entries, Ferguson earned the outside pole position after winning the second heat race. Throughout the $10,053-to-win feature, Carson faded back to sixth before suffering a flat tire with just a few laps to go. Ferguson rallied to finish eighth.
